Located on the borders of Somerset & Dorset we breed and show  Mini Rex, Thrianta`s , Argente Champagne and Silver fox.

For a long time we bred and showed poultry However due to ill health we could not continue.

We had kept a couple of pet rabbits for many years, and as they were getting on we thought we would go out to buy a new baby rabbit. This was a huge mistake, as we came home with the biggest rabbit we had ever seen it was a continental Giant. Casting our mind back to our poultry days we seemed to remember rabbit shows so we thought we would find out a little more about them, with the intention of showing our most beautiful white giant rabbit. Searching the net we found that a show close to us was soon happening it was in Puddletown Dorset.

We went to look and seek advice about the bunny showing world. Well it was so warm and welcoming so different to the poultry world of guarded secrets. Everyone was so friendly and advice flowed constantly. Unfortunately for us at this time we also found out it was not as easy to show our *little bunny* as we thought (with poultry you can buy a duck one day and show the next not so with bunnies). Your first move is to join the http://www.thebrc.org. Once you have done this you learn more. Anyway I digress.

We looked at some rabbits for sale at the show and all the varieties Dizzy has always loved Rex rabbits so we enquired about them. It was at this time we met Harry of Yenalo Stud.

He invited us to come over to his place the following week, and he very kindly gave us his buck ebony and 2 does and 2 babies all black mini Rex, (all ringed of course) to get us started.

Carrot - Tops Stud was born.

2009 Update.

Since we began last year many things have changed not least of all our breeds. Yes we do still keep Mini rex in Orange and Black, we also still keep Thriantas. We now have added Argente Champagnes and Silver Fox rabbits to our stud. However we no longer keep or breed Dwarf lops anymore as we struggled with this breed and so decided to review things.

Unfortunately this year so far we have had devastating losses in some of our litters. So at present we are not showing Mini Black rex.

We have set up our breeding program for the Argente`s  and we will let you know how we get on at a later date.

We will be updating all the pictures during April so that you will be able to see the new rabbits.

It is now August and once again time for an update.

Well April through to July was awful we once again had bloat and lost so many rabbits we almost gave up. However some of our older rabbits gave us hope especially our Thrianta`s. Then our Champagnes and orange and black mini rex`s. We showed in May but did not show again until July. That was very testing with dizzy being very poorly and the bunnies being very poorly My Grandchildren and I were working overtime. We at that time had a family talk and decided to cut the stud right down to a manageable level. The end result being we are back on the show circuit and dizzy has a slightly improved health now. So if you see her whizzing around in her wheelchair say hi.
